HealthTech IoT + AI Strategy

Autonomous:
Physics-Based Care.

Can IoT + AI create a better care environment without adding "screen time" for staff? At a centre for Positive Ageing, I helped them to get "Data-Rich" and then transform to "Insight-Driven" using autonomous monitoring.

Human-Centric Impact

Circadian Sync

Mimicking the sun's natural cycle to improve sleep-wake patterns and reduce 'Sundowning' agitation in residents.

Staff Peace of Mind

Reducing alarm fatigue by filtering noise. Staff intervene only when the AI detects a genuine safety or wellness risk.

Proactive Health

Automated and optimized schedules for 24H circadian support. Real-time CO2 and air quality tracking ensures a fresh environment that reduces fatigue and respiratory stress.

The Challenge: Data-Rich, Insight-Poor

Managing 147 devices across multiple floors creates a massive stream of data. Without AI, this requires constant "dashboard watching," which takes staff away from resident care. I applied Strategic Design to filter 92 million annual data points into a handful of critical, actionable insights.

AI Capability: Anomaly Detection

The AI learns "normal" patterns (e.g., CO2 spikes at noon in the dining area). If levels spike at 3 AM or temperature drops rapidly (indicating a window left open), the system sends immediate Telegram alerts.

AI Capability: Wellness Reporting

Automated weekly reports compare melanopic light against time of day. Suggestion: "Room 1F-Living had insufficient emel (150) during peak hours; increase brightness to 80%."

Proprietary Hardware Development (I2M)

CL-ROUND-500

CircadianLux

Engineered to support the body's natural 24-hour clock. This Bluetooth-enabled fixture adapts color temperature and brightness based on geolocation.

• CRI 95+ (Superior Color Accuracy)

• Dimmable 1-100% via precision control [cite: 1494]

• UV-Free for safe care environments [cite: 1882]

RY1 SENSOR

RoomYou Wellbeing Sensor

The first sensor specifically designed to monitor Equivalent Melanopic Lux (EML). It tracks the "Physics of Care" every 5 minutes.

• CO2 Range: 0 to 9999 ppm

• Accuracy: ±0.2°C Temperature Precision

• E-Ink Display for high visibility/low power
